An enquiry is a starting point

Sending a safari, corporate, MICE or brochure request does not confirm a booking, reserve a seat or take a payment. We use your request to discuss dates, requirements and availability. A saved enquiry reference helps the team find your request.

Your written quotation

Review the itinerary, dates, traveller names, room arrangements, inclusions, exclusions, currency and payment deadlines in your written quotation. Ask your consultant to explain anything unclear before accepting. Prices and provisional availability may change until the agreed confirmation steps are completed.

When a booking is confirmed

Follow the acceptance and payment instructions in your quotation. A booking is confirmed when Trails of Africa issues written confirmation after the required steps have been completed. A website package description, provisional hold or enquiry receipt is not that confirmation.

Deposit and balance

The required deposit, any non-refundable supplier amounts and the balance deadline must appear in your booking documents. Different flights, camps, permits and events may carry different conditions. This page does not impose a standard deposit percentage.

Requesting a change

Email the team with your booking reference and the change you would like to make. Changes depend on supplier availability and may affect price, transport, permits or cancellation charges. Ask for the revised details in writing before proceeding.

If you need to cancel

Send your cancellation request in writing to sales@trailsofafrica.co.ke and ask for acknowledgement. Your accepted booking terms and supplier conditions determine any cancellation charge. No universal percentage or deadline is published in this review draft.

Refunds and supplier commitments

The team should explain what is refundable, what has already been committed to suppliers and any applicable processing arrangements. Refund timing may depend on suppliers and payment channels. Submitting a cancellation request does not itself guarantee a refund.

Changes affecting your journey

Weather, road conditions, park access and supplier availability can affect an itinerary. Discuss available alternatives with your consultant. Any substantial change, credit or refund should be documented according to the terms accepted for your booking.

Insurance and documentation

Consider suitable travel insurance for the journey and review cancellation cover with the insurer. Keep your quotation, confirmation, receipts and correspondence. The insurer determines cover under the policy you purchase.
